| Sec. 14-26-1. Tire requirements |

On all public service motor vehicles (1) tires shall be of sufficient size and construction, as recommended by the tire manufacturer, to support the combined weight of the vehicle and the allowable passenger load safely; (2) damaged or worn tires shall be replaced before becoming in any way unsafe for operation, and (3) no recapped or retreaded tires shall be used on the front wheels of any motor vehicle used for the transportation of passengers for hire if operated beyond a twenty-five-mile radius of vehicle headquarters.
